A Tribute to Richard Long

This website is a tribute to Richard Long, a wonderful man and a great actor who blessed us with his presence in film and TV for almost 30 years. Richard's acting career began in his late teens when in 1946 he was cast as Claudette Colbert's son in the film Tomorrow is Forever. In the late 1940s and early 1950s he made several films before putting his career on hold to serve his country in the US Army. In the 1950s Richard's career began to transition to television, where he made several guest appearances and created such memorable series characters as Gentleman Jack Darby (Maverick), Rex Randolph (Bourbon Street Beat, 77 Sunset Strip), Jarrod Barkley (The Big Valley), and Professor Harold Everett (Nanny and the Professor). Though Richard's time on earth was short, he touched the lives of many people and he will always have a special place in our hearts.
